Hi Everyone,
I know it has been forever since I blogg, but I have been so busy at work and taking care of my first nephew Gabriel. Gabriel was born on 05/01/2009 and weighed 9 lb 14 oz. Now he is officialy 4 months and weighs 19 lb 20 oz, and wears size 24 months. As you can see he is a big boy and he wears me out, but gotta say I love it, and even when it seems my patience is about to run out, that little face melts me away. Never thought this little punk would win me over to the point I have become whatever he needs me to be as long as I make him laugh.
As for me, things that i have done that need to be shared... Recently I went to Punta Mita, Nayarit, very close to Puerto Vallarta Mexico and had a blast. A little vacation away from work and everything else can never do any harm :). I went canopying to El Eden (were the Predator film scenes in the jungle took place) the scenery was expectacular, now as for the canopying I enjoyed zipping through the 12 lines but the climb, by
the 5th line i wanted to go back, but had no choice but to keep climbimg to get back down. Parasaling was another activity I participated in, but I must confess is not what i expected, it definately did not give me an adrenaline rush, but on the contrary it was a very peaceful and calm ride with a nice view of the bay. Mexico is a unique country the food, culture, and welcoming is always great.
After my trip, I dedicated some time to creating a team for Familia Avila for the "Light the Night Walk" that will take place on October 24th 2009. I have been working with this family for 3 years now, and their son's story and constant battle always inspires me to not take the small things gor granted. Their ongoing courgae and devotion to help others is really a nice example to follow. Please, please visit their website to read their inspiring story at:
This nocturnal walk is a nationwide event that The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society does every year to raise funds fo cancer research and treatments. It really is a great cause and if you guys would like to join our team or make a donation, you should definately check their website.
Team Avila at the moment is selling raffle tickets and will be trowing a Jamaica on October 10, 2009. Let me know if you want some tickets or would like to attend to our Jamaica.
Halloween, is coming up and i am very excited, but have no idea what my costume will be this year, i am open to suggestions....
